Virtua Berlin

Virtua Berlin’s recent facility enhancements:
• Swallowing imaging service
Virtua Berlin’s digital video swallowing imaging service evaluates patients who suffer from frequent choking, frequent coughing or problems swallowing.
• Radiology lab
Virtua Berlin’s digital radiology lab includes an all-digital radiology and fluoroscopy machine that allows for high quality imaging.
• Radiology/Imaging equipment
Virtua Berlin offers the newest MRI and 64-slice CT scanner technologies that provide patients with state-of-the-art diagnostic testing.
• Wound Care Center
The Wound Care Center at Virtua Berlin provides comprehensive wound care services and prevention of acute and non-healing wounds in a comfortable outpatient facility. Advanced therapies include hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which helps to improve blood supply and generate healthy tissue. In turn, the healthy tissue supports faster, deeper wound healing.
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Virtua Berlin is currently undergoing renovations in the PCU, scheduled to be completed in 2009. The PCU treats patients who need cardiac monitoring and those that are well enough to leave the Intensive Care Unit. Renovations include renovated patient rooms and a new, more efficient nursing station.
• Lobby and Façade
Scheduled to be completed by the spring of 2010, the lobby will be updated and expanded. The façade will receive a facelift that includes a patient drop-off overhang and an automated circular door for easy entry.
